Your First Visit

We understand visiting a new dentist can be overwhelming because you don't know what to expect or what the dentist and staff will be like.

Let us tell you what happens on your first visit with Cosmetic Dental Sydney.

Your first step is to schedule a check-up, preferably before any problems arise.

At the check-up, you'll complete a Medical History Questionnaire, which helps us identify your oral and overall health. This gives us important information that helps us make decisions about your treatment.

On your first visit, our dentist will ask you about any issues you may have with your teeth. During this consultation, we'll diagnose the problems and discuss a treatment plan with options.

The dentist may suggest X-rays, so they can find out if there are problems that are not easily visible with your teeth or gums. If you have a Medicare card, then you can get a FREE panaramic Xray (OPG).

Then our dental hygienist or dentist will professionally clean your teeth and check if there are issues with your at-home brushing and flossing.

The next step is your dentist will examine your teeth, answer any questions you have and recommend future treatment you may need.

Your dentist may also discuss appropriate recommended preventative treatment such as fluoride for the prevention of cavities.

At the end of your first visit, your dentist will suggest when you should come back for your next appointment. Then we'll book it in, and send you a reminder a couple of days before.
